Job summary

Karyan Group in Noida is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to manage project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress reporting for residential and commercial real estate projects. The candidate will develop detailed project schedules, track progress, identify delays, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction planning, Primavera P6, CPM, and MS Office tools, with 5–8 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in planning/project controls within the real estate/construction industry.
• Experience in both residential and commercial projects preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to high-rise/multi-storey construction projects advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and project scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Prepare baseline schedules, detailed execution plans, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
• Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify deviations.
• Track milestones, activities, dependencies, and critical path.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and MIS for management review.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Civil, MEP, Purchase, Contracts, Billing and other departments for timely execution.
• Collect and validate progress data from project/site teams and update planning schedules accordingly.
• Identify delays and prepare delay analysis and mitigation/recovery strategies.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to manage project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress reporting for residential and commercial real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed project schedules, tracking project progress against planned targets, identifying delays, and coordinating with various project stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Prepare baseline schedules, detailed execution plans, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
• Monitor actual project progress against planned schedules and identify deviations.
• Track key project milestones, activities, dependencies, and critical path.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and MIS for management review.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Civil, MEP, Purchase, Contracts, Billing, and other departments for timely execution.
• Collect and validate progress data from project/site teams and update planning schedules accordingly.
• Identify potential delays and prepare delay analysis and mitigation/recovery strategies.
• Monitor manpower, material availability, equipment deployment, and other resources against project requirements.
• Prepare 2-week/3-week/4-week look-ahead plans as required.
• Conduct regular review meetings with project teams and follow up on pending activities.
• Maintain S-curves, progress dashboards, planned vs. actual reports, and productivity reports.
• Assist in preparing project cash-flow projections and resource planning.
• Track contractor/subcontractor progress and evaluate performance against agreed schedules.
• Support the Project Manager in preparing revised schedules and recovery plans in case of delays.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of project schedules, progress reports, and planning-related data.
• Highlight critical issues, bottlenecks, and schedule risks to senior management on a timely basis.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction planning and project scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is preferred/mandatory.
• Good working knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel and Power Point.
• Understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method), WBS, baseline schedules, resource loading, and progress tracking.
• Knowledge of construction sequences for residential and commercial projects.
• Ability to prepare and interpret S-curves, bar charts, progress reports, and MIS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight project timelines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of project milestones, dependencies, and construction activities.

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering may be considered for candidates with strong relevant planning experience.

Experience Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in planning/project controls within the real estate/construction industry.
• Experience in both residential and commercial projects will be preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in high-rise/multi-storey construction projects will be an advantage.
• Strong exposure to Primavera P6 and project scheduling is highly preferred.
