As Planning and Control Head for Data Center Construction, you will lead project planning, scheduling, and control functions for mission-critical data center projects. This role requires strategic oversight of project timelines, resource allocation, and performance tracking while ensuring seamless coordination across multidisciplinary teams. You will serve as the primary planning authority, providing critical schedule management and project controls that drive successful delivery of complex data center infrastructure.
You will prepare comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, tracking progress, identifying critical path items, and proactively managing schedule risks. Your expertise ensures that project timelines remain realistic, achievable, and aligned with client expectations and contractual obligations. You will maintain rigorous schedule discipline while adapting to the dynamic requirements of mission-critical construction environments.
The role involves producing monthly, weekly, and daily reports that provide clear visibility into project status, progress metrics, and performance indicators. You will track invoices, manage bill verification processes, and raise certification of payments in accordance with project milestones and contract terms. Your documentation ensures accurate project records and supports informed decision-making by project leadership and clients.
You will serve as the communication liaison for the project team, effectively coordinating with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives. This includes transcribing meeting minutes, managing project directories, maintaining document management systems, and following up on project tasks in a timely manner. Your ability to communicate clearly across multiple stakeholders ensures alignment and smooth project execution.
Maintaining project data integrity is essential. You will perform data input and maintenance in PDS technology systems, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information is available to all project stakeholders. Your proficiency with project management technology supports efficient workflows and comprehensive project visibility.
You will proactively assume leadership roles within projects, demonstrating independent and strategic thinking while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Your ability to develop trust, set clear expectations, and establish shared values creates a positive, productive project environment. You will mentor team members, support administrative functions, and contribute to continuous improvement of planning and control processes.
Understanding project scope, contract terms and conditions, and client expectations is fundamental. You will create and execute punch lists, verify contract compliance, and ensure that planning activities align with contractual requirements and organizational standards.
Education: BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and controls with at least 3 years of direct data center construction experience
Certification: Primavera P6 certification (mandatory requirement)
