Job summary

Presidency University Bangalore is seeking an experienced Placement & Events Manager to serve as the primary liaison between the university and corporate partners, drive campus recruitment, and expand industry connections.

You will coordinate industry visits, live projects, and trainings, negotiate terms, and collaborate with faculty to prepare students for recruitment, including resume writing and mock interviews. Immediate joiners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between university, corporate partners, industry leaders, and recruitment agencies.
• Expand employer network by prospecting and cultivating new relationships for campus recruitment.
• Coordinate industry visits, guest lectures, workshops, and live projects to enhance student exposure.
• Negotiate recruitment terms, placement schedules, and package structures to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty and career counselors on resume building, cover letters, and mock interviews.
• Organize pre-placement training and boot camps aligned with industry standards.
• Guide students on career pathways, internships, and market alignment.
• Plan and execute end-to-end campus recruitment drives (virtual, on-campus, off-campus).
• Manage event logistics for company presentations, tests, group discussions, and interviews.
• Maintain databases of student profiles, company contacts, and interview outcomes.
• Track placement statistics and generate reports for management and accreditation bodies.
• Evaluate past drives using feedback to drive improvements.

• Expand the university's employer network by actively prospecting and cultivating new corporate relationships to drive campus recruitment.
• Coordinate industry visits, guest lectures, corporate workshops, and live project opportunities to enhance professional exposure for students.
• Negotiate and manage recruitment terms, placement schedules, and package structures to continuously improve placement quality and average graduate starting salaries.
• Collaborate with faculty and career counselors to prepare students for the recruitment process (including resume building, cover letter writing, and mock interviews).
• Organize pre-placement training, skill-enhancement boot camps, and technical assessments aligned with current industry standards.
• Guide students regarding career pathways, internship options, and alignment between personal competencies and market demands.

Placement Operations & Event Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end campus recruitment drives (virtual, on-campus, and off-campus).
• Manage end-to-end event logistics, including company presentations, written tests, group discussions, and personal interview panels.
• Resolve student or recruiter grievances professionally and promptly during recruitment cycles.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate databases of student profiles, company contacts, interview schedules, and placement outcomes.
• Track and analyze placement statistics, generating analytical reports for university management, accreditation bodies, and marketing use.
• Evaluate the success of past recruitment drives using feedback data to implement continuous improvements for subsequent years.
