Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced piping and offshore facilities engineer to prepare and review engineering deliverables for offshore/onshore projects in the oil and gas sector. The role involves coordinating with design, fabrication yards, and client approvals, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards, and managing RFQs and MTOs to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include reviewing 3D models, performing clash checks, and supporting weekly reviews and safety

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of engineering practices, codes, standards and procedures.
• Experience in Oil and Gas hydrocarbon offshore facilities.
• Preparation and review of piping and valve material specifications.
• Preparation of RFQs, MRs, vendor offers, TQs, VDR, and purchase specifications.
• Review of 3D Model and clash checks with resolution.
• Liaise with fabrication yards for timely resolution of site queries.
• Inter-departmental coordination during project execution.

Job description

Prepare and review of engineering deliverables such as Piping and Valve material specifications, support standards, Equipment and safety layouts, 3D Model etc.

Must have working knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, International codes and standards, procedures and specifications

Prepare DCI / MCI through Engineering Manager

Participation in weekly review meetings, Model reviews and Safety studies

Knowledge of Piping design documents.

Review of 3D Model, clash checks and its resolution

Preparation of RFQs, MRs, vendor offers, TQs, VDR, Purchase specifications

Preparation of MTOs and closely work with Material controller for timely deliveries at yard

Extraction/Demarcation of Offshore-Onshore scope and provide inputs to Hook up team

Approval of Piping design documents from client

Liaise with fabrication yard/offshore fabrication for timely resolution of any site queries/design issues

Inter-departmental co-ordination during the course of project.
