Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a piping detail engineer to assist in Detailed Engineering for offshore projects. You will develop and check layouts using E3D/PDMS and AutoCAD, and coordinate with LE, stress, specs and procurement teams to ensure accurate deliverables.

The role requires offshore project experience, familiarity with industry codes, and ability to extract inputs from bid specs for detail deliverables. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Detailed Engineering for piping projects in offshore environments.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, NFPA, CAP437 codes and standards.
• Ability to extract inputs from bid specifications for Detail Engineering deliverables.
• Experience developing/reviewing 3D models and related drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist LE and piping team members to execute Detailed Engineering activities.
• Develop and check drawings and layouts using 3D software (E3D/PDMS) and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with LE, stress, specs, and procurement piping teams.
• Review IDC documents, vendor drawings, and 3D model.
• Prepare equipment/layout/nozzle orientation drawings, MTO, piping isometrics, GADs, and special pipe supports.

Job description

• To assist the LE & other piping team members to execute Detailed Engineering activities in a project.
• Developing and checking drawings and documents related to layouts using 3D software (E3D/ PDMS) and Autocad.
• Coordination with LE, stress, specification, and procurement piping team.
• Review of IDC documents, relevant vendor drawings and 3D model.
• Equipment layout, Safety layout, Nozzle orientation drawing, MTO, Piping isometric drawings, Piping GAD, Support GAD and Special pipe support drawings.
• Communication skills, Team work, interpersonal skill and adaptability.
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, CAP437 etc.
• Working experience in offshore projects. Capability of developing and checking above mentioned key deliverables.
• Working experience of E3D/ PDMS software’s.
• Knowledge of piping fabrication and erection.
• Working experience of review software Navis works/ Navis simulate.
• Ability to review 3D model and resolve design errors.
• Ability to extract key inputs from bid specification to generate Detail Engineering Deliverables.
• Knowledge of international codes, standards and recommended practices.
