Job summary

Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Piping Designer to prepare piping design and drafting deliverables for MSW, biogas, CBG, and water/wastewater projects in EPC settings, coordinating with process, mechanical, civil, and site teams.

With 4–8 years of piping design experience and strong AutoCAD skills (Plant 3D and Revit a plus), you will develop GA drawings, layouts, isometrics, and MTOs, ensuring constructible, safe, and maintainable piping systems on project sites.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of piping design/drafting experience in EPC, industrial process plants, water & wastewater projects.
• Diploma in Mechanical, or ITI in Mechanical draftsman or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of 3D piping tools such as Plant 3D & Revit is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping GA drawings, piping layout drawings, isometrics, routing layouts, and piping details as per project requirements.
• Develop pipe rack layouts, equipment nozzle orientations, and piping support drawings in coordination with civil/structural teams.
• Extract piping MTOs/BOQs from approved drawings and models.
• Coordinate with process engineering to interpret P&IDs, line lists, and design basis documents.
• Ensure proper interfaces with mechanical equipment, E&I requirements, and maintenance access clearances.
• Support design integration to ensure clash free and site ready piping layouts.

Role Definition

The Piping Designer is responsible for preparing accurate and coordinated piping design and drafting deliverables for MSW, biogas, CBG, and water/wastewater treatment projects. The role supports EPC execution by developing layouts, piping drawings, and documentation aligned with process requirements, mechanical equipment, and site constraints. The position works closely with process, mechanical, civil, structural, E&I, and site teams to ensure constructible, safe, and maintainable piping systems.

Experience

• 04-08 years of experience in piping design/drafting for EPC, industrial process plants, water & wastewater projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of 3D piping tools such as Plant 3D & Revit is an advantage.

• Diploma in Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• ITI in Mechanical draftsman or equivalent
