Job summary

Skynet Placements & Outsourcing Services seeks an experienced Piping Designer/Sr. Piping Designer for water treatment projects. You will develop piping layouts, 3D models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Plant 3D to support WTP/WWTP/ETP/STP or ZLD projects.

You will coordinate with Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation teams, review models for accuracy, and guide junior designers to ensure compliant, clash-free layouts and robust fabrication support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in WTP/WWTP/ETP/STP/ZLD projects.
• 3D piping modelling using Plant 3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Ability to extract MTO/BOQ and engineering documentation from models.

Responsibilities

• Develop equipment layouts, piping layouts and 3D piping models for WTP/WWTP facilities.
• Prepare Piping GA, Skid GA, Pipe Support GA and Piping Isometric drawings.
• Perform 3D modelling of equipment, skids, piping, tanks and civil structures.
• Extract MTO/BOQ and engineering documentation from Plant 3D models.
• Manage Plant 3D projects, specs, catalogues and components.
• Coordinate with Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation teams.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy and constructability.
• Support fabrication and site teams in resolving piping/design issues.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafters.

Job description

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Piping Designer / Sr. Piping Designer with hands‑on experience in Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), ETP/STP or ZLD projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing piping layouts, 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk Plant 3D.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop equipment layouts, piping layouts and 3D piping models for WTP/WWTP and industrial water‑treatment facilities.
• Prepare Piping GA, Skid GA, Pipe Support GA and Piping Isometric drawings.
• Perform 3D modelling of equipment, skids, piping, tanks, civil structures, cable trays and instrumentation.
• Extract MTO/BOQ and engineering documentation from Plant 3D models.
• Manage Plant 3D projects, specifications, catalogues and custom components as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation teams to ensure clash‑free plant layouts.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, constructability and compliance with project standards.
• Support fabrication and site teams in resolving piping/design‑related issues.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafters when required.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in WTP/WWTP/ETP/STP/ZLD projects.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Good understanding of piping layouts, 3D modelling, GA drawings, isometrics, pipe supports and MTOs.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts and engineering drawings.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
