Provide continuous medical coverage to all inpatients and attend to emergencies promptly.
Supervise the wellbeing and clinical progress of patients in the assigned ward.
Assist consultants with clinical and administrative tasks related to patient care.
Conduct patient rounds every shift and document findings accurately.
Administer medications and procedures as directed by consultants.
Perform uncomplicated procedures (e.g., dressing changes, central line and hemodialysis catheter removals) under supervision.
Ensure high standards of clinical and professional care are consistently maintained.
Handover complete clinical information to the incoming shift doctor and Clinical Assistant.
Enter medical notes in the patient’s Medical Record as per the Verbal Order Policy, ensuring consultant authorization by Clinical Assistants.
Ensure completeness of medical records before patient discharge.
Explain prescribed medications and potential side effects to patients, as instructed by the consultant.
Inform consultants regularly about the patient’s condition and clinical progress.
Supervise patient care services (bed, hygiene, diet, etc.) and report discrepancies to the ward incharge.
Explain consent forms to patients and obtain appropriate signatures for all procedures.
Supervise Nurses and Technicians, ensuring proper implementation and execution of medical orders.
Basic knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
Strong coordination and teamwork abilities

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
