Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Phase: prepare and check the operation theatre, lights, suction units, and monitors; sterilize and arrange instruments; assist with patient positioning and draping.
• Intra-Operative Phase: assist lead surgeon and scrub nurses; handle instruments; maintain sterile fields and infection control; operate or monitor OT equipment as instructed.
• Post-Operative Phase: assist in transferring patient to recovery; disinfect and manage decontamination and inventory of instruments.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Pre-Operative PhasePrepare and check the operation theatre, lights, suction units, and monitors.Sterilize, assemble, and arrange surgical instruments and sterile trays. Assist the surgical team in correct patient positioning and draping.Intra-Operative PhaseAssist the lead surgeon and scrub nurses during the operation.Handle and pass surgical instruments accurately and quickly on demand.Maintain strict sterile (aseptic) fields and infection control protocols.Operate or monitor specialized OT equipment as instructed.Post-Operative PhaseAssist in safely transferring the patient to the recovery room.Clean, disinfect, and manage post-surgery instrument decontamination and inventory.
