Job summary

PeopleStrong in Pune invites applications for a Nursing position. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care according to individualized care plans, monitor vital signs, administer medications, perform nursing procedures, and assist doctors during examinations and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure infection prevention and patient safety and confidentiality.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients according to their individual needs and care plans.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing, catheter care, IV cannulation, specimen collection, and other procedures within the scope of practice.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, treatments, and emergencies.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and immediately report significant findings to the physician or senior nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, patient charts, medication records, and handover notes.
• Follow medication-safety procedures and hospital protocols.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices at all times.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Educate patients and their attendants regarding medications, treatment, hygiene, nutrition, and discharge instructions.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, discharge, and handover procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the nursing station, patient areas, instruments, and equipment.
• Ensure adequate availability and proper storage of medicines, consumables, and nursing supplies.
• Participate in emergency response and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, doctors, and other members of the healthcare team.
