Job Profile Summary
PHI intends to build a cloud-native, microservices-oriented, loosely coupled & open technology platform aligned to health-insurance domain, expected to be reused while anticipating change. The platform will consist of multiple applications supporting different business functions.
Business Areas
- Customer – solutions interfacing with PHI’s end customers
- Distribution – solutions interfacing with PHI’s distribution partners and agents
- Core – solutions interfacing with core insurance functions such as product & pricing configuration, medical underwriting, provider network management, claims, FWA, endorsements, etc.
Job Description
- Deeply understand long-term architectural direction, reusable components, and interactions between applications.
- Drive BAs and solution designers to evaluate business requirements and convert them into low-level "codable" solution designs considering functionality, interoperability, performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
- Contribute to identify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure high-level and low-level designs are produced by technology teams that consider current applications & architecture, operating models, and target state architecture, in line with PHI Tech Vision.
- Own the planning of technology delivery – requirements on time and with quality.
- Own the preparation of detailed design specifications that form the basis for development & modification of applications.
- Ensure adoption and implementation of defined solutions; provide technical expertise to enable application design & iteration; collaborate with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and review progress.
- Support change programs/projects through technical plans & application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
- Lead governance forums required to create harmony in application designs and delivery.
- Ensure extensions & additions to defined solutions are undertaken frequently, in line with evolving business and technology landscape, but go through rigorous vetting processes.
- Ensure the collaborative nature of requirements, UAT, design and engineering is coupled with tight governance around non-negotiables like security, availability and performance.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Health Insurance product company, GCC/HealthTech, IT services company with Health Insurance vertical, or Health Insurance ecosystem vendors.
- 8–18 years as a technology delivery leader.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy & processes into technology low-level design and deliverables.
- Excellent handle on collaboration and delivery tools such as Confluence, Jira, Advanced Roadmaps, MS Project, etc.

Education
