Lead/Principal Software Engineer – Position may vary between Senior Manager Lead Software Engineer or Asst. Director Principal Software Engineer based on experience, expertise, and performance.

Deep Technology Role
Lead a cloud‑native, microservices‑oriented engineering team to build a reusable, open technology platform for health insurance.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand the long‑term architectural direction with emphasis on reusable components and interactions between applications.
- Collaborate with technical design managers, business analysts, and solution designers to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure technical solutions.
- Design, develop, unit‑test, and implement backend software for mobile apps, SDKs, micro‑frontends, WhatsApp integration, and ecosystem partners; establish development standards.
- Conceptualize and incorporate reusable development frameworks and world‑class platform capabilities as RESTful services.
- Write detailed technical specifications and code; own unit, performance, and functional testing and drive rollout and launch.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, R&D, analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop open APIs and capabilities that enable seamless integration across ecosystem partners.
- Use data‑driven insights to guide the development of programs and apps that meet user needs.
- Adhere to architecture and coding standards, and contribute to their continuous improvement.
- Keep up with innovative technologies, frameworks, and best practices to deliver differentiated solutions.
Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience
- 7–18 years of hands‑on experience engineering enterprise‑grade solutions.
- Proven ability to translate technology and architectural strategy into engineering solutions.
- Expertise in Java, NodeJS, Python, scalable event‑driven micro‑services, NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase), stream processing (Flink, Google Cloud Data Flow), REST API frameworks (Swagger), pub‑sub frameworks (Kafka, Google Pub‑Sub), and secure non‑blocking communication protocols (WSS).
- Proficiency with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Java IDEs, Jira, Confluence, Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Jenkins, Postman, and WebSocket clients/tools.

Education & Language
