Job description

Title: Business Analyst, Senior Manager

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities
  • Manage health & wellness business requirements and implement solutions in active collaboration with functional representatives.
  • Solicit, develop and validate business requirement documentation, clearly distinguishing current (“as‑is”) versus desired (“to‑be”) processes and defining acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with key stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage of business requirements and opportunities, creating delightful customer experiences.
  • Develop in‑depth understanding of business processes, articulate use‑cases, user stories, and requirement documents or change requests for identified features or capabilities across platforms and projects.
  • Perform process impact analysis across various platforms, maintaining an end‑to‑end view of user journeys.
  • Design Business Process Flows, review them with key functional stakeholders, and obtain sign‑off.
  • Facilitate discussions, gather feedback, and ensure proposed improvements align with business process objectives.
  • Partner with functional process owners to support capability vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Understand business objectives, processes, and products to make educated recommendations.
  • Document business process flow diagrams and review with functional stakeholders, identifying pain points, bottlenecks, redundancies, delays, errors, and uncovering root causes.
  • Verify that the current processes comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and data privacy requirements.
  • Use techniques such as flowcharts, BPMN diagrams, or process maps to illustrate activity sequences, decision points, inputs, outputs, and roles involved in applicable business processes.
  • Undertake iterations in signed‑off Business Process Flow when required, collaborating with stakeholders to refine and finalize subsequent versions.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations based on the current book of work and capacity; collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand requirements, contribute to the platform technology roadmap, and drive day‑to‑day prioritisation of work on capabilities.
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria are defined and met; lead testing in collaboration with functional users, including preparation and review of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing.
Qualifications
  • 10‑15 years of total experience in health insurance, wellness, payments, financial services, e‑commerce, insurance core systems, or insurance tele‑sales & customer servicing; at least 3 years in health insurance required.
  • End‑to‑end knowledge of health insurance products, operations processes, and technology systems.
  • Ability to convert high‑level processes into detailed business requirement documents.
  • Proven track record of end‑to‑end implementation and business outcome delivery of significant insurance systems.
  • Expertise in designing wireframes, UX flows, customer journey maps, conducting usability testing, interpreting feedback, and incorporating insights into subsequent implementations.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills across disciplines such as Technology, Product, Operations, Marketing, and Analytics.
  • Passion for operating iteratively and for continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to present strategy and persuade stakeholders while solving user problems creatively.
  • Capability to identify and track metrics to assess processes and capabilities.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, behavioral analytics platforms, BI tools, and SDLC tracking tools.
