Job summary

Effisense Consulting is seeking a Mechanical/PHE design engineer with 3+ years of experience to lead public health engineering design for diverse facilities. You will design water, drainage, and fire protection systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and prepare specifications and BOQs.

Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and BIM coordination with multi-disciplinary teams is essential. You'll review shop drawings, support design reviews, and ensure compliance with NBC/IPC/UPC and local regulations

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in PHE design for commercial, healthcare, hospitality, data center, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Public Health Engineering systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pump head calculations, and water demand analysis.
• Prepare design basis reports, specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Develop detailed drawings, shop drawing, as-built drawings, schematics, layouts, and coordination markups using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, and BIM teams for integrated project delivery.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Participate in design reviews, site coordination meetings, and value engineering exercises.
• Ensure designs comply with NBC, IPC, UPC, NFPA, local authority regulations, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Public Health Engineering systems including:
• Water Supply Systems, Soil, Waste & Vent Systems, Storm Water Drainage Systems, Rainwater Harvesting Systems, Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Fire Fighting Systems
• Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pump head calculations, water demand analysis, and tank sizing.
• Prepare design basis reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Develop detailed drawings, shop drawing, as-built drawings, schematics, layouts, and coordination markups using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, and BIM teams for integrated project delivery.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and ensure compliance with project standards.
