Innowell Engineering International is seeking a PHE/FPS Design Engineer in Bangalore with 3-6 years in the MEP sector to design, draft, coordinate, and support execution of Public Health Engineering and Fire Protection Systems for diverse projects.
The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, with knowledge of Revit MEP, and familiar with NBC, IS Codes, NFPA standards. You will perform hydraulic calculations and prepare drawings, BOQs, and project documentation.
Job Title: PHE/FPS Design EngineerIndustry: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)Location: BangaloreQualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical EngineeringExperience: 5-6 YearsJob Summary:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PHE/FPS Design Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in the MEP industry. The candidate will be responsible for the design, drafting, coordination, and execution support of Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Fire Protection Systems (FPS) for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems, experience in design calculations, and proficiency in preparation of engineering drawings and project documentation.
Design and develop plumbing, water supply, drainage, storm water, sewage, and firefighting systems as per project requirements and applicable standards.Prepare hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing calculations, pump head calculations, water demand calculations, and equipment selections.Design fire hydrant, sprinkler, hose reel, wet riser, and fire suppression systems in compliance with NBC, IS Codes, NFPA, and local authority requirements.Prepare schematic diagrams, system layouts, riser diagrams, and design reports.
Prepare and review detailed design drawings, tender drawings, construction drawings, and shop drawings using AutoCAD.Ensure accuracy and compliance of drawings with project specifications and design standards.Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical submittals, equipment schedules, and material specifications.Maintain project documentation, revisions, and drawing records.
Coordinate with HVAC, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural teams to resolve design clashes and ensure smooth project execution.Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and clients during project execution.
Provide technical support during installation and execution of plumbing and fire protection systems.Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings.Assist in resolving site-related technical issues and provide design modifications when required.Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Support testing and commissioning activities for PHE and FPS systems.Verify system performance, conduct inspections, and prepare commissioning reports.Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.Identify design and execution issues and recommend corrective actions.
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.5-6 years of relevant experience in PHE/FPS Design within the MEP industry.Experience working on commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use developments.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a collaborative team environment.
