Job description

The Pharmacist - OT Pharmacy will manage OT pharmacy workflow, drug safety, inventory control, hospital pharmacy operations, surgical consumable support, and nursing support coordination at Max Healthcare, Delhi. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm with 3–8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain availability of OT medicines, emergency drugs, anaesthesia medicines, surgical consumables, and pharmacy materials.
• Issue medicines and consumables to OT and nursing teams as per prescription and approved request.
• Verify medicine details, batch number, expiry date, storage condition, quantity, and documentation before issue.
• Maintain OT pharmacy registers, issue records, return records, stock records, expiry records, and audit documents.
• Monitor high-alert medicines, temperature-sensitive medicines, emergency stock, fast-moving items, and reorder levels.
• Coordinate with OT nurses, anaesthesia team, surgeons, CSSD, stores, purchase, billing, and hospital administration teams.
• Support nursing teams with timely medicine availability and safe medication handling.
• Track shortages, near-expiry stock, damaged items, wrong indent, and urgent requirements.
• Support inventory audits, stock reconciliation, and discrepancy reporting.
• Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, medication safety, infection control, and patient safety practices.
• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, cleanliness, and disciplined pharmacy workflow.
• Ensure safe, timely, and reliable OT pharmacy support.
