Job summary

MOC is seeking a Pharmacist to dispense medications prescribed by the medical oncologist and to advise patients on drug use. The role includes patient experience, MIS reporting, inventory, billing, and maintaining records.

Qualifications include B-Pharm/D-Pharm and proven pharmacy experience. Strong organization and accuracy in data handling are essential for this position in Malad/ Borivali/ Thane/ Ghatkopar areas.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patients, interpret needs, and provide information about medications.

• Maintain organized filing and daily Excel records for cash in hand.
• Ensure accuracy of shared data and proper labeling of medicines.

Role Summary

As a MOC Pharmacist dispense drugs prescribed referred by the medical oncologist and provide information to patients about medications and their use.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

A) Patient Experience

• Listen carefully to patient to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice
• Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication.

B) Management Information System

• To inform the management about daily patient procedures through the Software and progress of the department.
• Maintain the stock inventory on weekly basis.
• Managing day-to-day Sales and Purchase Billing and enter as per distributor list / drugs
• Keeping filing of documents in well-organized manner
• Maintaining Excel sheets on daily basis which includes basic tally for cash in hand
• Ensure accuracy of shared data

C) Financial Impact

• Ensure that all patients referred by the medical oncologist for financial counselling are properly explained about the financial charges for pharmacy
• Keep proper track of patients who take financial counselling as to get them to take treatment
• Ensure 100% accuracy of collected cash
• Submit and reconcile expense reports (petty cash, invoices)

D) Miscellaneous

• Review and execute physicians prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labelling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a pharmacist
• Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc.
• Good organizing skills
• Valid Pharmacy licence to practice the profession.
