Job summary

Indira Health And Lifestyle is seeking a Pharmacy professional for on-site work at Andheri, Mumbai (Apollo Clinic). The role involves dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients on dosage and storage, and maintaining inventory with a focus on preventing stock-outs.

You will also handle billing using Prime/Insta, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold cold-chain storage for vaccines and insulin. Shift options include 8:30 am–5:30 pm or 11:00 pm–8:00 pm, with an on-site work setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Registration with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.

Responsibilities

• Read and process prescriptions accurately to ensure correct dosage and quantity.
• Counsel patients on dosage, storage, and potential side effects.
• Monitor inventory, manage short-expiry medicines, and raise indents to prevent stock-outs.
• Generate bills using internal software (Prime/Insta) and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean pharmacy environment and comply with Pharmacy Act and narcotics regulations.
• Ensure vaccines and insulin are stored under correct cold-chain conditions (2C–8C).

Role & responsibilities:

• Dispensing: Accurately read and process prescriptions from doctors; ensure the right dosage, quantity, and medicine is handed to the patient.


• Patient Counseling: Explain dosage, storage (e.g., refrigeration), and potential side effects to patients.


• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels daily, manage "Short-Expiry" medicines, and raise indents to avoid "Stock-Outs."


• Billing & Systems: Generate bills accurately using internal software (Prime/Insta); handle cash and digital payments.


• Quality & Compliance: Maintain a clean pharmacy environment; adhere to the Pharmacy Act and Narcotic drug regulations.


• Cold Chain: Ensure vaccines and insulin are stored at the required temperatures (2C to 8C) without deviation.

Preferred candidate profile:

Valid Registration with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.

Shift timings: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm or 11 pm to 8 pm
