Job summary

Davaindia Generic Pharmacy is seeking a responsible Pharmacist In-Charge to manage daily pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance. You will oversee dispensing, inventory, billing, and customer service while guiding staff and maintaining records.

The role requires a D.Pharm/B.Pharm/M.Pharm with valid registration, retail pharmacy experience, and strong communication skills. Store location: Davaindia Generic Pharmacy – Store Location.

Qualifications

• D.Pharm/B.Pharm/M.Pharm degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid Pharmacy Registration / State Pharmacy Council Registration as applicable.
• Experience in retail pharmacy operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the pharmacy store.
• Dispense medicines accurately against prescriptions per regulations.
• Manage storage, expiry and inventory of medicines and products.
• Maintain pharmacy records, prescriptions and statutory documents.

Reporting To: Area Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Pharmacist In-Charge to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy store. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing of medicines, maintaining pharmacy compliance, managing inventory, supervising store operations, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the pharmacy store.
• Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and expiry management of medicines and other pharmacy products.
• Maintain and update pharmacy registers, records, prescriptions, and other statutory documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the concerned team for timely replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock verification and identify shortages, damages, near-expiry, and expired products.
• Ensure proper billing and maintain accuracy in all pharmacy transactions.
• Provide appropriate information and guidance to customers regarding medicines, dosage, usage, and precautions within the scope of professional practice.
• Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy assistants and other store staff.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, discipline, and work performance.
• Ensure the store is maintained in a clean, organized, and professional manner.
• Coordinate with the Area Manager / Operations Team regarding store performance, staffing, inventory, and operational requirements.
• Support achievement of store sales and business targets while maintaining professional and ethical pharmacy practices.
• Ensure proper handling of controlled, scheduled, and temperature-sensitive medicines as applicable.
• Report any operational, compliance, stock, or customer-related issues to the reporting manager immediately.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• D.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Valid Pharmacy Registration / State Pharmacy Council Registration as applicable.
• Previous experience in retail pharmacy operations will be an advantage.
• Candidates with relevant pharmacy experience and good knowledge of retail operations are preferred.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy billing/software systems.
