Job summary

Zydushospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Manager to oversee hospital inventory, ensuring stock levels align with demand and avoiding overstocking or stockouts. You will manage inward/outward flows, coordinate with departments, and ensure timely delivery of medications.

The role includes monitoring expiry products, maintaining HMIS records, and processing invoices and GRNs. Strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficient stock movement across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital pharmacy inventory management.
• Knowledge of stock control and expiry management.
• Ability to process invoices and receipts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventories to avoid overstocking or stockouts; align with system levels.
• Support smooth CIOD operations for the hospital.
• Route inward materials, consumables, and products through the receiving/ stores process.
• Route outward materials to departments and patients as required.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers/patients.
• Manage expiry products monthly and purge obsolete stock quarterly.
• Track and update drug information and new drug entries in HMIS.
• Process material issues/returns against patient/department indents and invoices.

• Responsiblefor maintaining inventories on system at the levels set as per the judgment ofsupply chain ensuring that there is no overstocking or stock out, as nomedicine requisition is denied or delayed.
• Responsibleperson for smooth function of CIOD of the hospitals.
• Responsiblefor the all departments inwards in terms of any materials, consumables,products etc. are to be routed through him.
• Responsiblefor all the departments outwards in terms of any materials, consumables,products etc. are to be routed through him.
• Responsiblefor the performance in terms of achieving complete customer satisfaction withprompt and accurate delivery of medication.
• Takingcare of all expiry products on the monthly basis so that it can be taken outform the inventory on the quarterly basis.
• Observingand if required rejecting from the stock all the non-moving products.
• Responsiblefor tracking new drugs.
• Issue & Return of Material againstPatient indents from Stores
• Issue & Return of Material againstDepartmental indents
• Direct Issue of material to Patient
• Issue of Narcotics drugs as perguideline of Prohibition & Excise Act.
• Receiving the material at Receiving Bay& Processing of invoices after verifying the products as per the invoice interms of quantity, rate, amount, expiry if any matching with purchase order.
• Responsible for the all valid bills,challan, GRN to be prepared.
• Responsible for proper receipts ofmaterials as per the terms & conditions of the orders placed.
• Stock transfer into the HMIS softwareon the base of the prepared GRN, for respective departments.
• Receipt of consignment goods &Processing their Invoices on Consumption
• Physical Stock Verification
• Sale & return of material in IP/ OPPharmacy
• Checking expires of medicine beforedispensing to patients
• Taking care of all expiry products onthe monthly basis so that it can be taken out from the inventory on thequarterly basis.
• Manage the expiry products to be routedto the respective vender through outward gate pass and against that preparingthe list of the expiry submitted to the respective party.
• Against that as and when he receivesthe credit note on the expiry submitted to the vendor the acknowledges to therespective bills.
