Job Description::
We are looking for a high-caliber Senior Performance Test Engineer to lead our performance validation and optimization efforts. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives in a demanding, high-pressure environment and possesses the self-drive to own the performance lifecycle end-to-end.
You will not just execute scripts; you will analyze complex system architectures (HLDs/LLDs) to predict failure points and work directly with developers to tune applications for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Design: Analyze High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) to extract non-functional requirements and author comprehensive Performance Test Plans tailored to complex system architectures.
- End-to-End Execution: Lead the design and execution of massive-scale Load, Stress, and API tests using JMeter, ensuring all microservices and endpoints meet rigorous performance benchmarks.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize Dynatrace for deep-tier APM analysis and Splunk for log correlation to pinpoint the root cause of latency, memory leaks, or thread contention.
- Performance Tuning & Advocacy: Partner closely with the Development team to share detailed performance reports. You are expected to move beyond "finding bugs" to identifying tuning opportunities in code, database queries, and system configurations.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Translate raw output from Splunk and Dynatrace into actionable executive summaries and technical deep-dives that guide the projects release readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Performance Engineering.
- Tooling: Mastery of JMeter and expert-level knowledge of API testing (REST/SOAP/Microservices).
- Analysis: Proven experience using Dynatrace (or similar APM) and Splunk to analyze system bottlenecks and resource utilization.
- Architectural Literacy: Strong ability to read technical design documents (HLD/LLD) and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Communication: Highly collaborative with the ability to influence Developers and Architects through data-backed performance insights.
- Soft Skills: Must be self-driven and capable of managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
