Job summary

Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited in Pune seeks a peptide synthesis specialist to carry out SPPS, purification, and formulation tasks in a GMP environment.

The role requires 2–6 years of hands-on experience in SPPS, Preparative HPLC, and lyophilization, with a strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, BMR, and GDP. Excellent documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with 2–6 years' experience in peptide synthesis.
• Hands-on SPPS, HPLC purification, and peptide work-up experience.
• Strong GMP/GDP documentation and compliant lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on SPPS, including coupling, deprotection, cleavage and work-up.
• Perform Preparative HPLC purification of crude peptides.
• Lyophilize/purify peptides and maintain GMP documentation.
• Follow SOPs, BMRs and GDP; ensure safe, compliant production.
• Coordinate with QC/QA/Engineering/R&D for batch execution.

Role & responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS), including coupling, deprotection, cleavage, and peptide work-up.
• Experience in Preparative HPLC for crude peptide purification and fraction collection.
• Knowledge of Lyophilization/Freeze Drying of purified peptides.
• Execute peptide manufacturing activities as per approved SOPs, BMRs, and GMP requirements.
• Maintain proper GMP documentation and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements during production activities.
• Coordinate with QC, QA, Engineering, and R&D for smooth batch execution.
• Support troubleshooting, deviation investigation, and process improvement activities.

Preferred candidate profile:

Experience: 2 to 6 Years
Qualification: M.Sc. in Organic chemistry.

• Practical knowledge of SPPS, Preparative HPLC, and Lyophilization.
• Good understanding of GMP, SOPs, BMR, GDP, and EHS.
• Good documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Preparation of Documents, like BPR, ECR, Risk assessment, PVP and CVP etc.
