Job description

The Peptide Production Chemist will be responsible for supporting peptide manufacturing activities, synthesis operations, purification support, equipment handling, batch documentation, and GMP compliance in the Peptide Production department. This requires B.Sc, M.Sc, or B-Tech Chemical qualification with 1–5 years of experience, knowledge of peptide production processes, chemical handling, production safety, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support peptide production activities as per approved BMR, SOPs, and production plan.
• Assist in peptide synthesis, reaction monitoring, purification, filtration, drying, and material handling activities.
• Operate production equipment and process systems safely under defined instructions.
• Monitor process parameters such as temperature, time, pressure, pH, and reaction status.
• Maintain batch records, equipment logs, cleaning records, and production documentation accurately.
• Follow GMP, GDP, safety, hygiene, and contamination control practices.
• Ensure correct raw materials, solvents, reagents, and batch details are used.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, QA, QC, engineering, warehouse, and safety teams.
• Report deviations, abnormal observations, equipment issues, or material shortages promptly.
• Support line clearance, area cleaning, equipment cleaning, and changeover activities.
• Handle chemicals and peptides using proper PPE and safe working practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in peptide production areas.
• Support process improvement, yield monitoring, and waste reduction activities.
• Follow documentation and data integrity requirements for audit readiness.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and timely peptide production support.
