Job summary

Fastenal India is seeking a talented PeopleSoft Developer with 2–8 years of hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) applications. You will design, develop, test, and maintain solutions, ensuring reliability, security, and performance, while collaborating with functional and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying PeopleSoft FSCM solutions.
• Strong SQL and PeopleTools knowledge for customizations, interfaces, and reports.
• Experience with Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, and SQR.
• Ability to mentor juniors and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of data migration, data conversions, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle for PeopleSoft Financials applications.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain customizations, interfaces, conversions, and reports within PeopleSoft.
• Configure and customize PeopleSoft applications to meet evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional analysts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems using Application Engine, Integration Broker, APIs, and related technologies.
• Create and execute data conversion and migration strategies for onboarding and implementations.
• Prepare technical design docs, functional specs, unit tests, deployment plans, and root-cause analysis.
• Perform unit/system testing, debugging, and defect resolution for high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce secure coding practices and development standards.
• Provide production support and root-cause analysis for performance issues.
• Monitor and optimize application performance through tuning and coding practices.

We are seeking a talented and motivated PeopleSoft Developer with 2–8 years of hands‑on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in PeopleSoft development tools and technologies, a solid understanding of business processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams. This role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining PeopleSoft solutions while ensuring system reliability, security, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support for PeopleSoft Financials applications.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain customizations, interfaces, conversions, and reports within the PeopleSoft environment.
• Configure and customize PeopleSoft applications to meet evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional analysts, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems using Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, APIs, and related technologies.
• Create and execute data conversion and migration strategies for data onboarding and system implementations.
• Prepare and maintain technical design documents, functional specifications, unit test scripts, deployment plans, and root cause analysis documentation.
• Perform unit testing, system testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews and promote adherence to development standards, best practices, and secure coding principles.
• Provide production support, perform root cause analysis, and resolve application or performance‑related issues.
• Monitor and optimize application performance through tuning, debugging, and efficient coding practices.
• Ensure compliance with development methodologies, documentation standards, and governance processes.
• Support upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations across the PeopleSoft ecosystem.
• Stay current with PeopleSoft technology trends, PeopleTools enhancements, and industry best practices to recommend continuous improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and capability building.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Financials architecture and modules.
• Proficiency in SQL and PeopleSoft Query.
• Experience working with PeopleTools, Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interface, App Packages, BI Publisher, PeopleCode, Integration Broker and SQR.
• Ability to generate, retrieve, and analyze trace files required to troubleshoot and fix application issues.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related preferred.
