Peoplesoft Finance Technical Consultant

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of technical experience in system design, project development, and production support of PeopleSoft applications/systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, eProcurement, Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, and Billing modules.
• In‑depth understanding of core business processes of PeopleSoft Financials modules and strong knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment, Shell Scripts, SQL, PeopleTools, SQR, XML, and encryption technologies.
• Good working knowledge of PeopleSoft Advanced Tools such as Application Package, XML Publisher, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Business Interlinks, Workflow, and Object Oriented PeopleCode.
• Ability to work with clients to identify business challenges and contribute to client deliverables by refining, analyzing, and structuring relevant data.
• Awareness of latest technologies and trends.
• Logical thinking and problem‑solving skills, and ability to collaborate.
• Ability to assess current processes, identify improvement areas, and suggest technology solutions.
• One or two industry domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Actively aid the consulting team in different phases of the project including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, design, and deployment.
• Explore alternatives to recommended solutions based on research that includes literature surveys, information available in public domains, vendor evaluation information, and build POCs.
• Create requirement specifications from business needs, define the to‑be processes, and detailed functional designs based on requirements.
• Support configuring solution requirements on the products; understand any issues, diagnose root causes, seek clarifications, and identify and shortlist solution alternatives.
• Contribute to unit‑level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high quality value‑adding solutions to customers.
