Job summary

Star Automations in Bengaluru (Mahadevapura) seeks a skilled PCB repair technician to diagnose and repair industrial boards down to the component level. You will solder and desolder, use multimeter and oscilloscope, and document readings in repair reports.

The role involves tracing faults, handling SMD/TH parts at the rework station, and testing repaired boards. Open to ITI, diploma or degree holders, including internships.

Qualifications

• Must be able to trace faults on industrial boards to the failed component.
• Maintain accurate records for each repair in the repair report.
• Capable of reading boards and locating faults methodically.

Job description

Star Automations, Bengaluru (Mahadevapura). Diagnose and repair industrial PCBs at component level: servo and VFD drive boards, power supplies, PLC, HMI and CNC boards.

Responsibilities:

• Trace faults on industrial boards down to the failed component
• Remove and refit surface-mount and through-hole parts at the SMD rework station
• Test repaired boards on the bench and record the readings in the repair report
• Work on power stages, gate drivers, switching supplies and control boards

Requirements:

• Hands‑on soldering and desoldering, including SMD and hot‑air rework
• Comfortable with a multimeter and an oscilloscope
• Able to read a board and find the fault methodically
• Reliable record‑keeping for each repair

Nice to have:

• Experience with servo drives, VFDs, inverters or CNC boards
• Power electronics: IGBT, MOSFET, gate drivers, SMPS
• BGA rework experience
