Job summary

Agiliad in Pune is seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer with 3-5 years hands-on PCB design and layout expertise. You will create multi-layer PCBs from schematics, perform placement, routing, and DRC checks using Mentor Xpedition and OrCAD, with Altium as a plus.

The role involves collaborating with hardware, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, generate fabrication data (Gerber/ODB++), and support prototype testing and debugging.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on PCB Design/Layout experience.
• Proficiency in Mentor Xpedition is mandatory.
• Experience with OrCAD Capture/PCB Designer.
• Understanding of multi-layer PCB design, DFM/DFA.
• Knowledge of high-speed design and EMI/EMC considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multi-layer PCBs based on schematics and requirements.
• Create and maintain PCB layouts using Mentor Xpedition and OrCAD.
• Perform component placement, routing, layer stack-up, DRC, and layout optimization.
• Collaborate with hardware, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for feasibility.
• Prepare PCB design documentation, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing outputs.
• Generate Gerber, ODB++, drill files, BOM, and other data.
• Perform design reviews and resolve layout issues.
• Ensure designs comply with DFM/DFA/EMI-EMC guidelines.
• Support prototype development, testing, debugging, and design modifications.
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing/assembly issues in PCB layouts.
• Participate in design verification and provide technical support.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PCB Design Engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout. The candidate must have strong expertise in Mentor Xpedition and OrCAD. Experience with Altium Designer will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with hardware, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Prepare and maintain PCB design documentation, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing outputs.
• Generate Gerber, ODB++, drill files, BOM, and other manufacturing data.
• Perform design reviews and resolve PCB layout-related issues.

Mandatory Skills

• 3-5 years of hands-on PCB Design/Layout experience.
• Strong proficiency in Mentor Xpedition - Mandatory.
• Good experience with OrCAD Capture / OrCAD PCB Designer.
• Strong understanding of PCB design principles and multi-layer board layouts.
• Experience with component placement, routing, constraints, and design-rule checking.
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and DFM/DFA.
• Understanding of high-speed design, signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.

Good to Have

• Experience with Altium Designer - added advantage.
• Experience working on high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, LVDS, etc.
• Knowledge of impedance-controlled routing and differential pair routing.
• Experience with SI/PI analysis tools.
• Exposure to hardware bring-up, prototype validation, and troubleshooting.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
