Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited is seeking an experienced automotive PCB designer to join our hardware team in Pune. You will design and develop multilayer PCBs, create schematics using Altium Designer, and drive success from concept to manufacturing release.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Automotive PCB Design and hardware development, with strong knowledge of high-speed design, EMI/EMC, and DFM/DFT. Collaboration across cross-functional teams is essential.

• Create schematics, component selection, footprint verification, and BOM generation.
• Ensure EMI/EMC compliance and ISO 26262 awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support DFM, DFT, and product validation activities.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop multilayer PCBs for automotive applications.
• Create and maintain schematics using Altium Designer
• Perform component selection, library creation, footprint verification, and BOM generation.
• Execute PCB layout, placement, routing, stack-up definition, and manufacturing release activities.
• Work on high-speed and mixed-signal PCB designs while ensuring signal and power integrity.
• Generate Gerber files and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform design reviews and support prototype bring-up and debugging.
• Ensure designs comply with EMI/EMC and automotive quality requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and validation teams.
• Support DFM, DFT, and product validation activities.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, E&TC, or related field.

• 3-6 years of experience in Automotive PCB Design & Hardware Development.
• Hands-on experience with Altium Designer,
• Strong knowledge of Schematic Capture, PCB Layout, Multi-layer PCB Design, High-Speed Design, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT.

• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, ISO 26262,
• Good debugging, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
