Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves working across all stages of the product development cycle, including research, design, component selection, board selection, documentation, prototyping, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PCB layout design, circuit understanding, and coordination with cross-functional engineering teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop complex PCB layouts for multi-layer boards.
• Create schematic diagrams, generate BOMs, and ensure component accuracy.
• Select appropriate components considering functionality, cost, availability, and obsolescence management.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and other analyses to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and system engineers to integrate PCB designs with larger assemblies.
• Generate Gerber files and fabrication data (ODB++, drill files, assembly drawings).
• Validate and check Gerber files using CAM350, ensuring removal of unwanted layers and manufacturing compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues during prototyping, testing, and production phases.
• Maintain and update component libraries, footprints, and design documentation.
• Develop complete documentation packages as per work instructions, standards, and project requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on PCB design experience.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro, etc.
• Strong understanding of circuit concepts, board functionality, and schematic interpretation.
• Ability to review and correct fabrication data using CAM350.
• Experience in RF boards, high‑speed, and high‑density PCB design.
• Knowledge of design rules, DFM/DFT principles, IPC standards, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
