Job summary

psyc-defence invites Electronics Engineering graduates to join our PCB Design team. You will assist in designing boards, select components, and work with hardware engineers to validate embedded products.

As a fresh graduate, you will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, Cadence) and learn DFM/DFX practices while contributing to real product development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 0–1 year of experience (Freshers are encouraged to apply).
• Familiarity with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, EasyEDA, OrCAD, or Cadence.
• Knowledge of PCB layout concepts, multilayer boards, and routing techniques.
• Understanding of basic analog and digital electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics.
• Basic knowledge of Gerber file generation and PCB fabrication process.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C is desirable.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing PCB layouts based on circuit schematics.
• Support component placement, routing, and PCB optimization under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Create and maintain PCB libraries, symbols, and footprints.
• Perform Design Rule Checks (DRC) and Electrical Rule Checks (ERC).
• Generate manufacturing files such as Gerber files, BOM, pick‑and‑place files, and assembly drawings.
• Coordinate with hardware, mechanical, and firmware teams during product development.
• Support prototype assembly, testing, debugging, and validation activities.
• Learn and follow Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) guidelines.
• Maintain proper engineering documentation and revision records.
• Stay updated with PCB design tools, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
