Job summary

Interloop, a people, process, and technology consulting firm, seeks a Payroll Implementation Associate to set up Zoho Payroll for client organizations—designing salary structures, configuring statutory compliance, migrating data, and running first payroll cycles while training the client's team to operate independently.

You will handle payroll configuration, data migration, and compliance across states, with exposure to domestic and international clients and opportunities for rapid growth within

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in payroll, HR operations, accounting, or a numbers-heavy role - freshers welcome.
• B.Com, BBA, or an HR / finance-adjacent background preferred - what matters most is genuine comfort with numbers.
• Exposure to any payroll or HRMS platform is a plus - Zoho Payroll experience is a head-start, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Implementation & configuration: set up Zoho Payroll for client organizations — org structure, pay schedules, salary components, and approval workflows.
• Migration & data: migrate payroll data from Excel and legacy systems — employee masters, salary history, tax declarations, and loan balances; validate data before go-live.
• Integration & ecosystem: connect Zoho Payroll with Zoho People — attendance, leave, and LOP flowing into every pay run.
• Training, handover & documentation: train client HR and finance teams to run payroll independently and document configurations.

The Role

Payroll isthe one process a company cannot get wrong. As a Payroll ImplementationAssociate , you'll set up Zoho Payroll for client organizations — designingsalary structures, configuring statutory compliance, migrating data fromspreadsheets and legacy systems, and running the first payroll cycles until thenumbers reconcile to the rupee. You'll then train the client's team to run itthemselves. Precision work, real stakes, and a client who notices when you getit right.

Implementation & Configuration

• Set up Zoho Payroll for client organizations — org structure, pay schedules,salary components, and approval workflows
• Design salary structures: earnings, deductions, reimbursements, and perquisitesmapped to each client's CTC philosophy
• Configure statutory components — PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, and LWF —correctly for each state and entity

Migration & Data

• Migrate payroll data from Excel and legacy systems — employee masters, salaryhistory, tax declarations, and loan balances
• Clean, validate, and reconcile data before go-live; run parallel payroll cyclesto prove the numbers match
• Hand-hold the first two to three payroll cycles post go-live — arrears,proration, LOP, revisions, and full-and-final settlements
• Investigate variances to the rupee and fix root causes, not symptoms

Integration & Ecosystem

• Connect Zoho Payroll with Zoho People - attendance, leave, and LOP flowingcleanly into every pay run

Training, Handover & Documentation

• Train client HR and finance teams to run payroll independently and confidently
• Document every configuration - salary structure sheets, compliance registers,and process notes the next person can pick up

What we're looking for

Experience

• 0–2 years in payroll, HR operations, accounting, or a numbers-heavy role - fresherswelcome
• B.Com, BBA, or an HR / finance-adjacent background preferred - what matters most is genuine comfort withnumbers

Skills

• Strong numeric aptitude - percentages, proration, reconciliation, and CTCarithmetic should feel natural
• Working knowledge of salary components - basic, HRA, allowances, deductions,and how a CTC breaks down
• Awareness of statutory compliance - PF, ESI, PT, and TDS at a working level;depth is trainable
• Excel proficiency - lookups, pivots, and clean data handling are daily tools,not nice-to-haves
• Attention to detail - payroll errors are visible to every employee of theclient; you treat that seriously
