Coforge is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 8–12 years of experience in financial accounting, controllership and payroll accounting for an on-site role in Greater Noida. You will manage payroll entries, GL reconciliation and month-end close while ensuring statutory compliance and strong controls.

The role requires expertise in payroll accounting, journal posting, and cross-team coordination with HR, Finance and Tax to drive process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Manage payroll accounting and employee cost accounting (salary, bonus, incentives).
• Post payroll journal entries into GL and handle payroll provisions and month-end close.
• Reconcile payroll records with GL, bank payments, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure statutory liabilities (PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, Gratuity) are accurately accounted and reconciled.
• Coordinate with Payroll, HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax and other teams; drive controls and process improvements.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with around 8-12 years of experience in financial accounting, controllership, R2R, or payroll accounting. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance of payroll-related transactions. Candidates with direct payroll accounting experience are preferred. However, candidates with strong accounting fundamentals, GL, month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance experience who are willing to work in payroll accounting can also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage payroll accounting and employee cost accounting, including salary, bonus, incentives, and other compensation costs.
• Review and post payroll-related journal entries into the General Ledger.
• Handle payroll provisions, accruals, true-ups, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Perform reconciliation of payroll records with GL, bank payments, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure correct accounting and reconciliation of statutory liabilities such as PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, Gratuity, and other employee-related obligations.
• Investigate payroll accounting variances and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Support internal, statutory, and financial audits related to payroll and employee costs.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls, accounting policies, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and other relevant teams.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen controls around payroll accounting and reconciliations.

Experience & Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Around 8-12 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in Financial Accounting / R2R / GL / Controllership / Payroll Accounting
• Good understanding of month-end close, journal entries, provisions, reconciliations, and compliance
• Exposure to payroll accounting and statutory compliance will be preferred but is not mandatory
• Candidates without direct payroll accounting experience should have strong core accounting knowledge and willingness to transition into payroll accounting
• Good stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
