Background:Payments Operations is part of the Digital & Platform Services organization in the Corporate & Investment Bank. Payments Ops supports Payments, Receivables, and Trade Finance Products and acts as the payment hub for JPMorgan Chase, across the firms business lines. Consists of 5,500 employees across 60 sites and supports 142k corporations, financial institutions, governments and municipalities domiciled in over 180 countries. Role Description:If you accept the role of Wholesale Payments Service & Implementations Head of Intelligent Automation, you will report to the Head of Strategy, Innovation and Digitization. Your primary responsibility will be to drive operating efficiencies across Payment Operations as well as the Customer Service and Implementation organization, comprised of an additional 3000 global employees. Despite JPMorgans technical excellence, a large number of historic internal processes remain manual. You will partner closely with ops, service and implementation leads, as well as the AI/ML, process improvement and data teams to identify and pursue improvement opportunities. Your goal will be to quickly re-envision processes and then automate them. The overall objective is to help the organization quickly address problematic areas using off the shelf solutions, until strategic enhancements to systems and platforms can be rolled out in the future. The environment is full of opportunities some good, some not so good. You will ensure your team develops back of the envelope business cases to prioritize efforts before automating solutions. Your team will be highly trained on a variety of modern technologies including UiPath, Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, Instabase, Pega, and Python. If the opportunity warrants automation, your team will create the solution to reduce workload and drive efficiency.The existing intelligent automation process is inefficient. Solutions take months to deploy. Youll have to reconsider the process and determine what it will take to build and deploy solutions in sixty days or less, while maintaining risk and control requirements. Youll then have to revamp the operating model to take advantage of the proposed improvements. In addition to launching solutions, you will be responsible for partnering with firmwide and Corporate Investment Bank centers of excellence teams. Youll work with them to develop automation lifecycle management which will include save tracking, expense planning, expense allocation, risk and compliance reporting, retirement and production support strategies
