Job summary

CAVA is seeking a hands-on Pattern Master in Bengaluru to translate tech packs into accurate digital patterns and finish samples. You will manage a sample department of about 10 tailors, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality construction for activewear silhouettes.

You will leverage strong CAD skills and Richpeace experience to develop patterns, optimise fabric usage and coordinate pattern development with design teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as Pattern Master in activewear or stretch garments.
• Strong digital pattern-making and CAD skills.
• Working knowledge of Richpeace software and efficient marker planning.
• Thorough understanding of sewing techniques, garment construction and sample development.
• Ability to interpret tech packs and translate to patterns and samples.
• Experience supervising sample tailors and managing multiple styles with deadlines.
• Strong attention to fit, measurements, finishing and fabric utilisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital patterns from tech packs, measurements and references.
• Create 23 digital patterns per day, depending on style complexity.
• Move styles from tech pack to finished sample within 2–3 days, coordinating pattern development, cutting and sewing.
• Lead a team of ~10 sample tailors, allocate work and monitor quality and timelines.
• Apply sewing and construction knowledge to resolve sampling issues.
• Refine patterns for activewear and athleisure, accounting for stretch and ease.
• Review sample fit with design team and implement corrections.
• Use CAD and Richpeace for pattern development and marker making.
• Optimise marker efficiency to reduce fabric wastage.
• Maintain organised pattern files, revisions and production handover.

About the Role

You will translate tech packs into accurate digital patterns and well-finished samples, while managing a sample department of approximately 10 tailors. The role requires an understanding of activewear silhouettes, garment construction, fit and stretch fabrics.

• Apply strong sewing and garment construction knowledge to resolve sampling issues.
