Responsibilities

• Coordinate with patients after doctor consultations and assist booking prescribed tests and imaging, IP admissions and other recommended services.
• Liaise with home sample collection agencies and hospital departments to schedule appointments before patients leave.
• Promote hospital laboratory and diagnostic services by explaining benefits and ease of access.
• Serve as the primary coordination point between patients, doctors and hospital labs/imaging teams.
• Coordinate with home care agencies to ensure timely sample collection and delivery to the lab.
• Maintain daily records of bookings, follow-ups and conversion data.
• Track pending cases and follow up with patients to support conversions from referrals.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to maximize in-house referralsConversions and share weekly reports.

Job description

Hiring Patient Service Associate for renowned Hospital in Mumbai.

To support patients after OPD consultation and facilitate conversion from OPD visits to prescribed hospital services, including blood tests, imaging, consultations, procedures, surgeries, and IP admissions, as advised by the doctor.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with patients immediately after doctor consultations and assist them in booking prescribed laboratory tests, diagnostic services, imaging appointments, IP admissions, and other recommended services.
• Liaise with home sample collection agencies and internal departments, including Diagnostic, Imaging, Admission, and Billing teams, to ensure appointments are scheduled before patients leave the hospital premises.
• Promote hospital laboratory and diagnostic services by explaining key benefits such as accuracy, faster turnaround time, convenience, and easy access to doctors through Patient Assistance Coordinators.
• Serve as the primary coordination point between patients, doctors, and the hospitals Laboratory and Imaging teams.
• Coordinate with home care agencies to ensure timely sample collection and delivery to the laboratory.
• Maintain daily records of bookings, patient follow-ups, and conversion data.
• Track pending cases, follow up with patients who have not completed bookings, and support conversion efforts.
• Work closely with Marketing and Operations teams to maximize conversions from in-house doctor referrals.
• Share a weekly report on the conversions in the prescribed format.

Profile / Skills Required

• Graduate or diploma holder.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and the local language.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Friendly and service-oriented attitude with empathy toward patients.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Excel, CRM, WhatsApp, and email.
• Familiarity with common laboratory tests and medical terminology is preferred.
