Job summary

Sterling Accuris Wellness in India invites applications for a senior leadership role in the medical laboratory service. You will oversee budget planning and financial management, ensure compliance with accrediting bodies, regulate staffing, and uphold quality and safety standards across the lab.

You will serve as a key member of the medical staff, provide clinical advice on examinations, supervise the laboratory, participate in management reviews, and drive resource planning and quality

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides effective leadership of the medical-laboratory service, including budget planning and financial management, in accordance with institutional assignment of such responsibilities.
• Relates and functions with accrediting and regulatory agencies, healthcare officials, and patient populations.
• Ensures adequate staff with required education, training, and competence.
• Implements quality policy, safe laboratory environment in line with good practice and requirements.
• Participates as a contributing member of the medical staff where applicable.
• Provides clinical advice on examination choices and interpretation of results.
• Selects referral laboratories and monitors service quality.
• Organises professional development for laboratory staff and participation in professional activities.
• Defines and monitors performance standards and quality improvements for the medical laboratory services.
• Participates in management review meetings and arranges resources and infrastructure.
• Finalises roles and authorities of key lab personnel and supervises laboratory operations.
• Conducts meetings and seminars with management and field force.
• Overall responsibility includes Finance, accounts, business expansion and employee benefits.
• Ensures smooth functioning of all departments and implements Quality Management Systems.

Job description

Job Responsibility:

• a. Provides effective leadership of the \"medical-laboratory service, including budget planning and financial management, in accordance with institutional assignment of such responsibilities;
• b. Relate and function effectively with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies, appropriate administrative officials of the healthcare community, and the patient population served, and providers of formal agreements when required;
• c. Ensure that there are appropriate numbers of staff with the required education, training and competence;
• d. Ensure that the quality policy, a safe laboratory environment in compliance with good practice and applicable requirements is implemented;
• e. Serve as a contributing member of the medical staff for those facilities served, if applicable
• f. Ensure the provision of clinical advice with respect to the choice of examinations, use of service and interpretation of examination results;
• g. Select referral laboratories and monitor the quality of their service
• h. To provide professional Development programs for laboratory staff and opportunities to participate in scientific and other activities of professional laboratory organization.
• i. Defines, implement and monitor standards of performance and quality improvement of the medical laboratory service or services
