Job summary

Metropolis Healthcare in India seeks a qualified Pathologist (MD or DNB) to lead pathology services across Hematology, Biochemistry and Clinical Pathology, ensuring strict QC/QA and timely reporting.

You will train staff, optimize resources, handle complaints, and maintain high clinical standards while building cross-functional relations and guiding a capable team.

• Post-qualification experience in diagnostic histopathology.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Handling Hematology, Biochemistry & Clinical Pathology.
• Planning & implementing internal Quality Control, External Quality Control & proficiency tests with Laboratory Manager.
• Complaint handling & reducing complaints.
• Optimum utilization of staff & equipment.
• Ensure results are reported within turn-around time through Sectional Heads & review their performance.
• Manage documentation of clerical, analytical, pre-analytical errors.
• Responsible for designated departments test authorizations.
• Ensure good clinical practices/ to handle quality assurance and quality control effectively.
• Provide training to team on good laboratory practices.
• Manage manpower at laboratory with leadership and man-management skills.
• Assure that the results reported are accurate.
