Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Patent Search Senior Analyst to join our IP Search Team in Noida, supporting Fortune 100 clients across the patent lifecycle and various search types in electronics and semiconductor domains.

You will work on prior-art, validity, invalidity, evidence-of-use, and freedom-to-operate searches, collaborating with a team of 15+ under a Senior Manager/Director.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in IP services.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, Power Electronics, or any related field.
• Thorough knowledge of basic electronics and electrical circuits.
• Proficient in performing invalidity, patentability, state‑of‑the‑art, freedom‑to‑operate, and evidence‑of‑use searches.
• Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and US Patent Law.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other tools that may be required for day‑to‑day work.
• Capable of working on individual projects as well as in a team environment.
• Self‑starter, meticulous with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Study an invention and conduct online searches to ascertain its novel aspects.
• Determine the validity of a patent, including studying patent prosecution history and patent infringement complaint documents.
• Derive insights from patents and scientific literature published in a technology domain of interest.
• Quality Assurance – Adherence and compliance with set quality standards to ensure customer requirements are met in full.
• Assist clients in managing their patent portfolio and find solutions for the entire patent lifecycle.

The team member will work on various projects such as Prior‑art Searching (patentability/validity/invalidity), evidence‑of‑use, freedom‑to‑operate searches, etc., in the Electronics, Electrical, and Semiconductor domains. Our team consists of more than 15 members reporting to a Senior Manager/Director. We would love to speak with you if you have skills in any of the above‑mentioned services and/or have an aptitude for working on emerging technologies.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments

• At least two years of experience in IP services.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, Power Electronics, or any related field.
• Thorough knowledge of basic electronics and electrical circuits.
• Proficient in performing invalidity, patentability, state‑of‑art, freedom‑to‑operate, and evidence‑of‑use searches.
• Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and US Patent Law.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other tools that may be required for day‑to‑day work.
• Capable of working on individual projects as well as in a team environment.
• Self‑starter, meticulous with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

It would be great if you also have:

• PhD in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, Power Electronics, or any related field.
• IP and/or AI/ML related certifications.
• Knowledge of US, CN, and EP patent laws.

About the Team

Our team consists of more than 15 members reporting to a Senior Manager/Director. It primarily works on search projects related to electronics, electrical, semiconductor, and physics domains.

Hours of Work

This is a full‑time role requiring 40 working hours (excluding breaks) per week.
