Job summary

DriveX is seeking a Parts In-Charge for the Bengaluru Kasturi Nagar workshop to manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely availability for repair and refurbishment activities. You will maintain stock levels, records, and cost controls while coordinating with procurement and service teams.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in automobile spare parts or workshop parts management, with knowledge of 2-wheeler spare parts and experience in ERP/DMS systems.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in automobile spare parts or workshop parts management.
• Experience in 2-wheeler service or automobile workshop operations preferred.
• Good knowledge of 2-wheeler spare parts and components.
• Experience in inventory management, stock reconciliation, and parts procurement.
• Basic knowledge of ERP/DMS or inventory management systems.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and numerical ability.
• Ability to manage stock under pressure and meet workshop requirements.
• MS Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day spare parts operations at the workshop.
• Maintain adequate stock of fast-moving and critical spare parts.
• Raise parts requirements based on repair/service needs.
• Coordinate with procurement and central parts team for timely ordering.
• Receive, verify, and store incoming spare parts per quantity and quality.
• Maintain accurate stock records and documentation for inward/outward movements.
• Issue parts to technicians against job cards with proper records.
• Monitor stock levels, slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete parts; initiate actions.
• Regular physical stock verification and reconciliation with systems.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and binning of parts for retrieval.
• Coordinate with service advisors, technicians, workshop managers, and procurement for availability.
• Track pending parts and follow up to avoid delays in turnaround time.
• Monitor consumption and identify discrepancies or wastage.
• Document warranty, rejected, and returned parts properly.
• Support cost control by minimizing wastage and ageing inventory.
• Maintain workshop parts-related MIS and regular management reports.
• Ensure compliance with processes, audits, and inventory controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve parts availability and inventory accuracy.

Role Purpose

The Parts In-Charge will be responsible for managing the complete spare parts function at the Kasturi Nagar workshop, ensuring timely availability of parts for repair and refurbishment activities while maintaining optimum inventory levels, accurate records, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day spare parts opera ons at the workshop.
• Maintain adequate stock of fast-moving and cri cal spare parts to support workshop opera ons.
• Raise parts requirements based on vehicle repair and service requirements.
• Coordinate with the procurement and central parts team for mely ordering and replenishment.
• Receive, verify, and store incoming spare parts as per quan ty and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure proper inward and outward documenta on.
• Issue parts to technicians against approved job cards and maintain proper records.
• Monitor stock levels, slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete parts and ini ate necessary ac on.
• Conduct regular physical stock verifica on and reconcile stock with system records.
• Ensure proper storage, iden fica on, and binning of all parts for easy retrieval.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, Workshop Managers, and Procurement teams for parts availability.

• Monitor parts consump on and iden fy abnormal usage or discrepancies.
• Ensure warranty, rejected, and returned parts are properly documented and processed.
• Support cost control by minimizing wastage, unnecessary purchases, and inventory ageing.
• Maintain workshop parts-related MIS and provide regular reports to the management.
• Ensure compliance with company processes, audit requirements, and inventory controls.
