Job summary

AVEVA in Bangalore is seeking an R&D Partner Technologist to research, design and implement AVEVA’s cloud platform on Microsoft Azure, while providing technical leadership within the Core Services team.

You will work on secure, resilient features, lead complex challenges across services, and collaborate with other teams to ensure architecture consistency, while actively growing your knowledge and embracing AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong design and coding skills with a track record of delivering quality results quickly.
• Experience with microservices/SOA architectures.
• Proficient in REST API design principles.
• Experience with C# and .NET.
• Understanding of database design and data modeling.
• CI/CD and infrastructure as code practices.
• Cloud development experience, especially Azure and Kubernetes.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools.

Location: Bangalore

Job Purpose To work as part of AVEVA’s Core Services team to research, design and implement AVEVA’s cloud platform using Microsoft Azure, while providing technical leadership within the team. The role extends beyond individual contribution to ensuring engineering excellence, and cross-team collaboration across the platform. We are looking for developers with a proven record of successfully implementing complex technical solutions, and leading others in doing so at scale, including the application of AI-assisted development.

Principal Accountabilities

• To design and develop cutting edge, secure and resilient features
• To act as the technical authority with the team, leading the resolution of complex technical challenges spanning services
• To work closely with leaders in other teams ensuring alignment and consistency of architecture and design
• To maintain and grow your knowledge
• To actively use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and quality

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Proven strong design and coding skills with a reputation for delivering quality results quickly
• Knowledge of Developing using Microservice/Service Oriented Architectures
• REST API Design Principles
• Experience developing in multiple languages. We primarily use C# .NET
• An understanding of database design
• CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Cloud development, especially Microsoft Azure Kubernetes
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools

Hybrid working

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection.
