Job summary

Ozone Research & Applications (India) Pvt. Ltd. (ORAIPL) invites application for a Control Panel Design & Estimation Engineer to design LT panels, PCC/MCC/PLC panels, prepare GA drawings, wiring diagrams and detailed BOQs.

You will ensure IS/IEC/compliant standards, coordinate with production, QC and procurement, and support tendering and cost estimation with AutoCAD/EPLAN proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation.
• Experience in LT, PCC, MCC, PLC panels and related control panels.
• Proficient in GA drawings, wiring and schematic diagrams, and BOQ preparation.

Responsibilities

• Design LT panels, PCC, MCC, PLC panels, APFC panels, VFD panels, and control panels as per project requirements
• Prepare GA drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and layout drawings
• Select electrical components such as MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, instruments, etc.
• Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, and client-specific standards
• Coordinate with production and QC teams for design clarification
• Prepare detailed BOQ and cost estimation for control panels
• Analyse technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents
• Calculate material, labour, and overhead costs
• Coordinate with procurement for vendor pricing and lead times
• Support tendering and quotation preparation
• Prepare technical submittals and datasheets for client approval
• Assist in inspection and FAT documentation
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Maintain design and estimation records
• Strong knowledge of control panel design and estimation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / EPLAN (preferred)
• Good understanding of electrical components and wiring practices
• Knowledge of PLC, VFD, and automation systems (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and coordination skills

The Control Panel Design & Estimation Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical control panels, preparing BOQs and cost estimates, selecting components, and supporting project execution in compliance with technical specifications, standards, and client requirements.

• Design LT panels, PCC, MCC, PLC panels, APFC panels, VFD panels, and control panels as per project requirements
