Job summary

Nexthire in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Panel Design Engineer to design and develop power and control panels, GA drawings, BOM and schematics for water treatment applications. You will define control architectures for PLC and HMI systems and select appropriate hardware while ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards.

Lead mid to large panel design projects from concept to completion and contribute to SAP-based procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical; E-PLAN experience is a plus.
• Proficient in specifying electrical and controls equipment for water treatment plants.
• Knowledge of North American Low Voltage standards (UL508A, CSA 22.2, NFPA 70) and IEC 61439 preferred.
• Familiar with UL698A, UL913, CSA 22.2, NFPA 497, NFPA 820 and ANSI schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Job Title- Panel Design Engineer

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform design and develop documents like Power Schematics, Control Schematics, Industrial control/power Panel Design, GA drawing, Panel Layout, BOM and Loop Diagrams
• Develop control system architecture for PLC and HMI systems and select appropriate hardware
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, electrical codes
• Execute mid to large panel design projects for water treatment applications (MBR, UF, RO, etc.) with minimal supervision from concept to completion
• Hands-on exposure to Allen-Bradley systems (experience with Schneider and Siemens platforms is an added advantage)
• Developing Bill of Material and manage procurement process through SAP is an advantage

Key Skills Required:

• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (E-PLAN experience is an added advantage)
• Expertise in specifying and applying electrical and controls equipment in water treatment process plant
• Proficiency in North American Low Voltage standards (UL508A, CSA 22.2, NFPA 70) and IEC 61439 is preferred.
• Familiar with UL698A, UL913, CSA 22.2, NFPA 497, NFPA 820 and ANSI schematics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Computer proficiency with business tools (doc, sheets, slides etc.) and SAP is preferred.
