Job summary

UPL Limited is seeking a Packing Operator - Production (Agrochemical Formulation) to operate filling, sealing, labeling, coding and packing lines in a fast-paced formulation facility.

The role requires verifying batch details, maintaining traceability, and supporting line changeovers while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling, sealing, labeling, coding, induction sealing, capping, and packing machines.
• Verify product name, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and packing material before packing.
• Pack products in the correct container, label, and shipper as per specifications.
• Ensure proper palletization and packing of finished goods.
• FFS machine, Printing and Labelling machine operation
• Check container, cap, label, carton, and batch coding quality before and during packing.
• Record production and packing data accurately; maintain packing logs and shift records.
• Follow all EHS policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines; use prescribed PPE.

Packing Operator - Production (Agrochemical Formulation)

Key Responsibilities

1. Packing Operations

• Operate filling, sealing, labeling, coding, induction sealing, capping, and packing machines.
• Ensure packing activities are carried out according to approved packing standards and batch documents.
• Verify product name, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and packing material before packing.
• Pack products in the correct container, label, and shipper as per specifications.
• Ensure proper palletization and packing of finished goods.
• FFS machine, Printing and Labelling machine operation

2. Quality Compliance

• Check container, cap, label, carton, and batch coding quality before and during packing.
• Ensure no product mix-up or packing material mix-up occurs.
• Report any defects, leakage, underfill, overfill, or damaged packaging immediately.
• Follow approved SOPs, BPR/BMR, and quality instructions.
• Maintain traceability of packed products.

3. Safety & Environment

• Follow all EHS policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
• Use prescribed PPE while handling agrochemical products.
• Handle spills, leakages, and waste materials safely.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents.
• Comply with MSDS requirements for agrochemical products.

4. Machine Operation & Equipment Care

• Perform routine checks of filling and packing equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities.
• Assist maintenance personnel during machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Clean packing equipment and area as per cleaning procedures.
• Ensure equipment readiness before batch start-up.

5. Productivity & Efficiency

• Achieve packing targets as per production plan.
• Minimize product loss, leakage, and packing material wastage.
• Reduce machine downtime through timely reporting.
• Support line changeover activities for different products and pack sizes.

6. Housekeeping & 5S

• Maintain cleanliness of packing area.
• Follow 5S and TQM-Kaizen,OPL,POKAYOKE
• Ensure proper storage of packing materials and finished goods.
• Keep work area free from spills, waste, and obstructions.

7. Documentation

• Record production and packing data accurately.
• Maintain packing logs and shift records.
• Report daily production, rejection, downtime, and material consumption.
• Participate in shift handover and takeover activities.
