Job summary

Akshaya Associates in India seeks a Packing Operator with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably sterile/injectable facilities. You will operate and maintain packing equipment, ensure GMP compliance, and support quality and production activities.

You will handle labelling machines, auto cartonators, check weighers, vision inspection systems, and Track & Trace processes, while maintaining documentation and batch records according to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP/compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience with packaging lines and standard operating procedures.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Packing Operator with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably in sterile/injectable facilities. The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining packing equipment, ensuring GMP compliance, performing documentation, handling packing materials, and supporting quality and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical packing equipment such as labelling machines, auto cartonators, check weighers, vision inspection systems, Track & Trace and Aggregation systems.
• Perform packing activities strictly as per SOPs, BPR/BMR and cGMP requirements.
• Carry out dispensing, line clearance, equipment setup, operation, cleaning and maintenance.
• Perform in-process checks to verify printing details, labels, batch information and product quality.
• Operate weighing balances, barcode verifier and ensure calibration/verification activities are completed as per SOP.
• Execute challenge studies and machine verification activities for packing equipment.
• Handle secondary packing materials, rejected materials, material returns and finished goods transfer.
• Maintain accurate Batch Packing Records (BPR), equipment logbooks and online documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Document Management System (DMS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown activities with Engineering.
• Monitor Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) records in the packing area.
• Support calibration, equipment qualification (PQ) and validation activities.
• Perform yield calculation, batch reconciliation and review of executed batch records.
• Participate in investigations, deviations, CAPA, Change Control, QMS activities and internal audits.
• Train contract personnel on SOPs, GMP and packing operations.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of finished goods, cold room products and packing materials.
• Follow procedures during power failure and emergency situations.
