RSPL Group is seeking an Officer/Senior Officer in Procurement Packaging Materials (HYG) to own end-to-end strategic sourcing, cost management, vendor development, and digital procurement across PM categories. You will ensure uninterrupted supply to production, drive cost-out, and build a robust vendor base supporting cross-functional teams in R&D, Marketing, and QA.
The role requires FMCG manufacturing exposure, multi-plant experience, and willingness to travel 23 days per month.

About Hygiene Care Division (Approx. 1350 cr) HCD is into Hygiene, Utensil and Laundry care division. It has five manufacturing units in India and two in Bangladesh & One in Ethiopia. Product segments of RSPL ltd. for international markets are taken care by HCD division.

Procurement Packaging Materials (HYG)
Officer/ Senior Officer.
The incumbent will own end-to-end strategic sourcing, cost management, vendor development and digital procurement performance for all Packaging Material (PM) categories (rigid, flexible, corrugated, labels, closures, print & artwork). The role is accountable for uninterrupted PM supply to production, aggressive cost-out delivery, and building a robust, quality-certified vendor base, working closely with Production Planning, R&D, Quality and Marketing.
End-to-end category ownership full control of strategic sourcing, cost management, vendor development, and digital procurement performance across all packaging material categories (rigid, flexible, corrugated, labels, closures, print & artwork).
Team leadership lead a team of buyers/executives, building people-management experience alongside category expertise.
Direct impact on cost and continuity accountable for 7% YoY cost-out on the PM basket and >99% supply availability with zero production line-stoppages, giving visible, measurable business impact.
Innovation & value engineering exposure drive ~20+ cost-saving VE projects a year in cross-functional workshops with R&D, Marketing, and QA strong exposure to material science and design-to-cost thinking.
Vendor ecosystem ownership — build and govern the Approved Vendor List, drive supplier consolidation and dual-sourcing strategy, and lead supplier performance reviews (OTIF, quality, cost).
New product launch involvement — partner closely with R&D and Marketing on new launches and pack-change projects, keeping the role connected to innovation and brand strategy, not just procurement execution.
Digital and process modernization — own ERP (SAP MM) workflow optimization, PR-to-PO cycle efficiency, and standardized artwork change-management SOPs.
Multi-plant exposure — regular travel (5–10 days/month) to vendor sites and manufacturing plants, offering broad exposure across the manufacturing network rather than a desk-bound role.
Direct reporting line to the HOD – Procurement, with monthly performance visibility at leadership level.
