Job summary

EVM India is seeking a Packaging Designer / Graphic Designer with hands-on experience in packaging design and production readiness. You will handle packaging for consumer electronics, IT peripherals, and related products, while supporting marketing with banners and other brand creatives.

Ideal candidates will master CorelDRAW, dielines, CMYK workflows, and have strong attention to detail for barcodes, model numbers, and compliance details; collaboration with printers and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design product packaging, boxes, labels, inserts, and other packaging materials.
• Work on dielines / KLD and adapt designs across sizes and SKUs.
• Create packaging artworks that are retail-ready and easy to understand.
• Ensure placement of features, barcodes, and mandatory information.
• Prepare final print-ready files with bleed, margins, crop marks, CMYK setup, and font conversion.
• Modify and adapt existing packaging designs per product/vendor needs.
• Maintain consistency with brand guidelines across packaging designs.
• Create banners, brochures, flyers, and other marketing graphics.
• Coordinate with printers and vendors; check proofs before production.

About the Role

We are looking for a Packaging Designer / Graphic Designer who has strong hands-on experience in product packaging design, CorelDRAW, print-ready artwork, dielines/KLD, and brand communication creatives. The ideal candidate should not be only a general graphic designer. We need someone who understands how packaging works in real production, from concept, layout, product information placement, barcode placement, print file preparation, vendor coordination, and final output checking. The designer will work on packaging for consumer electronics, IT peripherals, mobile accessories, and related product categories. Along with packaging, the person will also support the marketing team with product creatives, banners, brochures, flyers, marketplace graphics, outdoor marketing material, and other brand communication designs.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Design

• Design product packaging, boxes, labels, stickers, inserts, warranty cards, user manuals, product tags, and other packaging materials.
• Work on dielines / KLD and adapt designs across multiple product sizes and SKUs.
• Create packaging artworks that are visually appealing, retail-ready, and easy for customers to understand.
• Ensure proper placement of product features, icons, model numbers, warranty details, barcodes, QR codes, compliance marks, and mandatory product information.
• Prepare final print-ready files with correct bleed, margins, crop marks, CMYK/Pantone setup, font conversion, and production markings.
• Modify, correct, and adapt existing packaging designs as per product or vendor requirements.
• Maintain consistency across all packaging designs as per brand guidelines.

Graphic Design

• Create product banners, marketplace creatives, brochures, flyers, leaflets, posters, standees, danglers, product feature graphics, and outdoor marketing material.
• Support the marketing and e-commerce teams with daily creative requirements.
• Create clean, premium, and product-focused designs for both online and offline use.
• Work on product communication creatives that clearly explain features, benefits, and specifications.
• Maintain visual consistency across EVM’s product categories and marketing communication.

Print & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with printers, packaging vendors, production teams, and internal departments for final output.
• Check vendor proofs, sample prints, and packaging mockups before final production.
• Ensure artwork accuracy before sharing final files for printing.
• Understand printing limitations, materials, lamination, spot UV, embossing, foiling, and other finishing requirements.
• Take ownership of packaging files from design stage to final production stage.

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW/CDR is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of packaging design, dielines/KLD, print-ready artwork, CMYK, bleed, crop marks, font conversion, and file preparation.
• Good sense of layout, typography, spacing, color balance, product presentation, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to handle multiple SKUs and adapt one design language across different product sizes.
• Ability to create both packaging artwork and marketing graphics.
• Strong attention to detail, especially for product specifications, model numbers, barcodes, icons, and compliance details.
• Ability to work with deadlines and coordinate with multiple teams.

Software Knowledge
