Responsibilities and Duties:

• TobeawareoftheOT’sscheduledandbeingawareofthecasesthathavebeenallotted.
• Toensurethatallequipments/requirementsareavailableasperthecaserequirement,beforethesurgery,andareingoodworkingcondition.
• TooperateequipmentslikeC-Arm,SettingofT.V,VCR,Camera(Laparoscopicequipments)etc.
• Toinformthesister-in-charge/OTsecretarytocorrespondwiththebiomedicaldepartmentincaseofnon-functioningoranyotherequipmentsrelatedproblem.
• AttachmentofOTtable,videotrolleywithcamera,microscopeetc.Ensuringtokeepitbackafterprocedure.
• Shiftpatienttorecovery.Helpthepatienttobeincorrectposition,Attachingmonitor,oxygenmask,andensuringthatthepatientiscomfortable.Informpharmacystoresforuseconsumables.
• PreparingfortheOTsetupforthenextcase.
• Tobeoncallduringnightshifts.
• AnyequipmentbreakdownduringtheprocedureneedstobeinformedtoOTincharge.
• Properhandlingandcaringofalltheequipments.
• Incaseofanyproblemwiththeequipment,sendthecomplainttotheconcernedpersoninwriting
• Damagedequipmentshouldbereplacedimmediately.
• Maintaindailyinventorychecking.
• Stockcheckingshouldbedoneonceinaweek.
• Prepareandmaintainastockregister.
• ParticipateinCQIprogrammeroftheorganization.

Other Duties:

Thepostholderwillberequiredtoundertakeanyotherdutiesaccordingtotheneedsoftheservice.
