Job summary

Kumaran Systems in Chennai is seeking an experienced Oracle Forms developer to analyze, maintain and support legacy apps, and help migrate them to modern web or cloud platforms.

You will document business rules, review PL/SQL objects, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to AI-assisted migration initiatives while ensuring stability of enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle Forms development, maintenance and support.
• Proficient in analyzing legacy applications and understanding business rules.
• Experience with Oracle Database concepts, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
• Experience in application modernization or migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, maintain, and support existing Oracle Forms applications.
• Understand and document legacy application functionality, business rules, and workflows.
• Review and interpret Oracle database objects including PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Assist in application modernization and migration projects by providing technical and functional insights.
• Support AI-driven migration initiatives by clarifying legacy system behavior and business logic.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle Forms development, maintenance, and support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Forms.
• Excellent ability to understand, analyze, and interpret legacy application source code.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database concepts and objects.
• Expertise in PL/SQL, Packages, Procedures, Functions, and Triggers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience in documenting existing systems and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working on application modernization or migration projects.
