Job summary

Luxoft in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced software engineer to join a mission-critical portfolio management platform for a leading Swiss investment bank. You will contribute to a mature, high-performance production system and help elevate team efficiency through shared tools and best practices.

Responsibilities include designing data solutions, optimizing SQL/PLSQL, and applying CI/CD, code reviews, and agile processes. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of strong background in Oracle databases, physical data models, and SQL and PL/SQL optimization.
• Data Warehousing concepts experience.
• Experience with very large data volumes for maintenance and query optimization.
• Proficiency with AI in a development environment.
• Familiarity with .NET, Java, XML, and Unix shell scripting is an advantage.
• Experience with agile development processes (Git, Jira/GitLab, Confluence) including code reviews and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD for development, packaging, and deployment.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science.

• Ensure operational controls and procedures are in place to move from test to production.
• Understand software design patterns and best practices for high-availability systems.

• Analyze business requirements for the delegated Investment Management
• Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
• Providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
• Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design, and other phases of SDLC
• See that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
• Understanding of software design patterns and best practices for high‑availability systems
