Job summary

Luxoft in Pune is seeking a senior data warehousing BI expert to join a mission-critical portfolio management platform for a leading Swiss investment bank. You will contribute to a mature production system and drive efficiency with shared tools and best practices.

The role requires 7–9 years in data warehousing, extensive BI and MicroStrategy experience, and strong SQL, CI/CD, and agile discipline. English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of experience in Data Warehousing and BI.
• Proven BI report design and development experience.
• Hands-on with MicroStrategy and SQL.
• Experience adhering to corporate identity and report standards.
• Experience using AI for data analysis and visualization.
• Agile development practices including source control and Jira/Gitlab.
• CI/CD processes for development, packaging, and deployment.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• Analyze business requirements for the delegated Investment Management
• Design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
• Providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
• Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• See that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
• Understanding of software design patterns and best practices for high‑availability systems

SKILLS

Must have

• 7-9 years of highly experienced in Data Warehousing concepts
• strong background in Business intelligence with a proven track record of report design and development
• Hands‑on experience with MicroStrategy
• Understanding and experience working and adhering to corporate identity and report standards
• Proficient with the use of AI in data analysis and visualization
• Basic SQL knowledge is necessary
• Experience with standards, methods, and techniques in an agile development environment (source control (git), code reviews, scrum/issue handling (Jira/Gitlab issues), and documentation (Confluence /Wiki))
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD processes for development, packaging, and deployment
• Fluent written and spoken English knowledge is required, and proficiency in German is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a focus in computer science
